Art Market 2024

Go Home Lakers don’t let a little rain slow them down! Even though the weather forecast wasn’t favourable, the Go Home Lake Art Market took place on Saturday August 17, 2024. We started a little earlier than planned and had to close earlier than planned due to the rain.

If you didn’t have a chance to attend, the vendor’s profiles and contact information are listed below. Some vendors have some products left over from the market. Please contact them if you would like to purchase their unique products.

If you did attend, and would like one of them to create something customized for you, please reach out to them.

The Go Home Lake Cottage Owners Association plans on holding another Art Market in the summer of 2025. We welcome vendors that have a strong connection to the lake and create products that are unique to them. Details to come on the website, social media and email notifications in the spring of 2025.

Janet Campbell

Landscape Artist

Go Home Lakers will recognize the inspiration for a lot of my landscape art! Clouds. Sky. Light. Water. Trees. If you kayak or hike with me, be prepared to wait - something will catch my eye, and I pull out my camera to record it. Then through the quieter winter, you will find me in my Toronto studio, putting those inspirations on canvas!

I primarily paint in oil, but at the cottage I use acrylic and watercolour as it is quicker to dry and my space is smaller! I have had the pleasure of meeting a number of GHLers who have commissioned me to paint a favorite lake scene, or a view of their cottage home. I love sitting on the dock with clients, and hearing about the family cottage - then I paint that energy and those stories onto the canvas.

If you don’t see something that captures your heart at the Art Market, please feel free to reach out through the year. Check out my Instagram site here. See you at the Art Market!

Heartfully Creative

Dog bandanas, jewelry and more!

Hello!
We are Nicole and Fionna and we’re excited to share heartfully creative.
About eight years ago, we met through our families and would often spend a long weekend all together each summer on Go Home Lake.
During COVID-19 and lockdown, we started to realize how much we had in common. Almost overnight, our friendship changed and we became the best of friends. What started out as a holiday craft day over Zoom turned into so much more.
We found ourselves inspired by new ideas every week and this is what led to heartfully creative.
We create handmade jewelry (rings, earrings, necklaces) dog bandanas, scrunchies and everything in-between. We have designed and crafted for birthday parties, bachelorettes, and bridal showers. You have a vision? We make it possible.

Excited to see everyone at the market, or you can check us out on Instagram here

Gray’s Crochet Corner

Crocheted items

My products consist of a large variety of crocheted items. My stock will include amigurumi toys, different fashion accessories, and even keychains. To start off, my amigurumi animals are durable, cute stuffed animals that you could use as a toy or a decoration piece if you desire. Some of the ones I will be selling are elephants, gummy bears, and frogs. Also, my stand will include different fashion accessories that will include market bags, earrings, and bandannas. Market bags are great to use around a craft market, as a beach bag, or at the grocery store. The earrings and bandannas will be shown in a variety of styles and colours in order to match your style. Finally, the keychains, whether you put them on your keys or bag, will make a cute addition to either! With mini bees, baby octopi, gummy bears and more you are sure to find something worthy of your keyring. I am sure that you will find something you like out of the amigurumi, fashion accessories, keychains, and more at Gray’s Crochet Corner this summer.

Jenna Stewart Artist & Author

Artist

I draw, mostly with conte, where I enjoy the indelible marks that are accompanied by a sense of a fleeting existence. I paint, always with acrylic on wood board. I write, as I find pleasure in stringing ideas together that have meaning.

I am a third generational Go Home Laker and have contributed a forth generation of three littles. I was one of the original organizers of the art market along side Jackie Saik in 2018 and 2019. I have been making art since I can remember and been coming to Go Home Lake since I was born. It only makes sense that much of the art I make is inspired by the trees, the water and the colours the sun makes in the clouds. Check out my Instagram here.
